Lipa City has been known to be a mecca for religious devotees due to its numerous churches and sacred places.  But the past decade saw the advent of tourism in the city along with the industrial developments marked by the buildup of various commercial establishments including malls, golf clubs and resorts among others.

Though it has been long overdue, Lipa City finally followed the lead of its neighboring cities and provinces and provided a niche for the recreation and wellness industries.  Hence, various resort facilities sprouted in and around the city.

One stop worth checking out is the Mountain Rock Resort, a newly constructed resort located at Barangay Talisay, Lipa City.  It boasts of a 720-square meter swimming pool, a multiple-purpose hall that can accommodate a maximum of 500 persons, a good view of Mount Malarayat, fresh air and the peace and quiet only a provincial setting could provide.  Future developments include cabanas, a retreat house, sport and team building facilities, a chapel and a hotel with 32 suite rooms and 48 executive rooms.

Nestled comfortably at the outskirts of the city proper, Mountain Rock Resort is remote yet accessible as Mount Malarayat Golf and Country Club lies only a few meters away, and malls like Shoemart and Robinson's are just a 15-minute drive from the resort.  The St. Therese of the Child Jesus Parish Church and several schools are also just a stone’s throw away.

Coupled with the wonderful climate and good location, Mountain Rock Resort is bound to be one of the best R & R destinations in the South.
